Data protection and information on cookies

Data protection

Thank you for your interest in our website. The protection of your privacy is extremely important to us. Please find detailed information below on how we handle your data.

Orders

As part of the conclusion of the contract, SOLA stores and processes your first and last name or company name, title, address (billing address, shipping address), contact address (e-mail address, telephone number) goods/services ordered and the purchase price, payment method and information and, for customers who are businesses, the VAT identification number (hereinafter referred to collectively as: "Data"). This data is processed – unless the customer has otherwise provided express consent – solely for the purpose of processing the contract and transmitting the ordered goods or providing the commissioned services. SOLA receives this data either directly from the customer or from "Amazon" (this includes Amazon Europe Core S.à.r.l., Amazon EU S.à.r.l., Amazon Services Europe S.à.r.l. and Amazon Media EU S.à.r.l., all four located at 38, avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg, and Amazon Digital Germany GmbH, Domagkstr. 28, 80807 Munich, Germany) if the customer places an order via Amazon Marketplace. SOLA and Amazon are each responsible within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter abbreviated to: "GDPR"). Customers can consult Amazon's privacy policy here: https://www.amazon.de/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=201909010&ref_=footer_privacy&language=en_GB.
The personal data listed is lawfully collected in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit b GDPR, since they are necessary for the fulfillment and delivery of the ordered goods/services and for the processing of any warranty claims. Without the provision of this data, it is therefore not possible to deliver the ordered goods or provide the commissioned services. After completion of the order and expiry of the warranty period, the data collected at SOLA shall be deleted unless there is any other legal reason for its further use (in particular the customer's express consent, statutory retention periods). Your personal data shall only be passed on to the payment service provider or shipping company selected by the customer, and only to the extent that this is absolutely necessary for the fulfillment of this contract. Depending on the payment service provider selected by the customer, SOLA passes on the payment data collected for the processing of payments to the selected payment service provider if this is necessary for processing payments. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if the customer has their own account there (e.g. Amazon Pay). In this case, customers must log in to the relevant payment service provider with their access data during the ordering process. In this respect, the privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies. Otherwise, the customer's personal data is not passed on to third parties without consent, unless SOLA is obliged to do so by law, court order or official order.
SOLA uses suitable technical and organizational security measures to protect customer data against manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties.
The specific contract between SOLA and the customer is stored for the purpose of fulfilling the order.
